In October 2019 John Shere gave a fascinating talk on the history of the Royal Observer Corps (ROC). The ROC Orlit B observation post is located on the edge of framland on the outskirts of Buckden. A short description of the Post is on page 64 of the book, Buckden A Huntingdonshire Village.
At the start of 2021 it was awarded listed building status. The ROC Orlit B Visual Observation Post is now registered with Historical England and a link to their site can be found below.
