The Cawcutt Family

A treasured family photo of The Cawcutts outside their home (19 Vine Cottages, Hunts End, Buckden). It shows Mary's father (John a.k.a. Jack) as a youngster as yet 'unbreeched'. He was born at Vine Cottages (1884) and lived there his entire life, passing away in the same room in which he was born in 1966. In the photo he leans on his mother, Martha (nee Stoneham, died 1916) . His sister Lottie was two years older than Jack.  She died of peritonitis at 21. John Cawcutt (senior) died in 1893.
