Lyn Sharp

My younger sister, aged 6,  and I were evacuated in 1940 to Mrs Harrison, Fir Tree Ave,  Birstall, Leicester for at least six months. After coming home, I was diagnosed with a spot on my lung. My mother had been taken into a sanatorium in Kent with TB.  My two younger sisters Jackie and Mary had to be sent to a convent boarding school in Lichfield. After a year I was discharged and sent there to join them and stayed until I was 14.
